Frequently asked questions
Is net metering available all over Pakistan?
Yes. NEPRA's net metering rules apply to every distribution company, including LESCO, IESCO, FESCO, MEPCO, GEPCO and K-Electric. The application goes to the company on your bill.
How long does net metering take?
It depends on your DISCO's workload and whether the file is complete. A complete, correct file is the biggest factor in avoiding delays.
What is the net metering rate per unit?
The rate for exported units is set by NEPRA and has changed over time. We confirm the current rate for your connection before you invest.
Can I get net metering with a hybrid inverter?
Yes, if the inverter is approved for grid connection. It exports surplus units and still gives battery backup.
